Many a song by iconic Gospel music minister & Midnight Crew lead singer, Pat Uwaje-King have shown that her natural disposition is gratitude. Whilst that is true of her new release too, she pushes her creative frontiers farther with the Highlife laced single, “Amara”.
Deeply seated in Igbo Highlife but spiked with tropical sound elements, the Praise Duchess, as she is fondly called by a few lovers of her style and music, vocalizes her gratitude with lyrics immersed in varying dictions. This rich use of language emphasizes the weight of the lyrics & its impact on her audience.
“Amara” which means grace, talks about the unmerited blessings that God daily loads us with.
Pat’s narrative posits that we who are identified with this life enjoy these blessings because of who God is – The all powerful King of all the earth.
