Washington, Sep 30 (Prensa Latina) US President Donald Trump on Monday lashed out at the whistle-blower´s complaint following a phone call with the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky.
As part of his customary behavior towards political rivals, Donald Trump also did the same thing from his personal Twitter account ratcheting up his campaign against Rep. Adam Schiff, House Intel Chair.
Reports on the aforementioned July 25´s talk influenced the decision of the Lower House, announced on September 24 by the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Dem. Nancy Pelosi, to impeach the US president.
This step paves the way to the process by which the plenary session of such entity can be recommended to approve impeachment articles unfavorable to Donald Trump for his behaviors lawmakers strongly consider worthy of his impeachment.
According to the transcript of the phone call, released on September 25 by the White House, Donald Trump asked Zelensky to contact the U.S. Attorney General William Barr to address a possible inquiry closely related to former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.
Joe Biden is the major Democrat candidate for the US presidency and it is quite possible that he will be Trump’s main rival in the 2020 presidential elections.
The whistleblower, unidentified and target days ago of Trump’s backlashes, said he had received some information from several government officials that the US president was ‘using his power to request interference from a foreign government in the 2020 US elections.’
‘Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer, is a central figure in this effort. The Attorney General Barr also seems to be deeply involved,’ according to the complaint.
In Trump’s opinion, the whistleblower knew nothing, and his second-hand call description is a fraud.
