President Muhammadu Buhari today,Sunday 22nd September,departed Abuja for New York, USA, to participate in the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA74), slated for Tuesday, September 17.
The theme for UNGA74 is, “Galvanizing Multilateral Efforts for Poverty Eradication, Quality Education, Climate Action and Inclusion.”
Mr President who is number 5 on the list of speakers to address the assembly will be speaking on “Poverty reduction and fighting terrorism, Boko Haram insurgency in view.
Tolu Ogunlesi, a presidential aide in a tweet, said Buhari left Sunday morning.

The President is accompanied by some state governors, Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Onyema and other top government functionaries.
