Gov. Akeredolu Fires Aid For Referring To Deputy’s Wife As “Acting First Lady”

Ondo State Governor, Mr  Rotimi Akeredolu, fired his Special Assistant on Political Matters, Mr Augustine Pelemo.

Mr. Pelemo was relieved of his position on Monday morning, after a congratulatory message to the deputy governor’s wife on her birthday shows him referring to her as the “Acting First Lady of Ondo State”. .

His sack letter reads in part: “This directive is with immediate effect; and it underscores the need to instil sanity and nip in the bud, divisive acts and tendencies inimical to the existing cordiality and cohesion in the administration led by the governor.”
