Jakes (Akande Jacob) is a Writer, Vocalist, Music Producer, Metallurgical and Material
Engineer Mix and Mastering Engineer and Networking/Systems Engineer. He is the fourth and first son of a family of 5 and is a member of the sensational music group; NEWS.
Being a multi-instrumentalist, vast in his understanding of music and currently signed to LEBAMI Music as an artist, Jakes will refer to his genre of music as ‘Afro Soul’.

“I am not your ‘regular gospel artist’ but I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and my music is a weapon” Jakes says.

30th February is a date that will never come. The song seeks to address the attitude of waiting to receive something which one already has at hand and most times if one’s mindset isn’t changed; one would wait forever to get something they had all along.
The song is short and is part of a ‘storyline’ that builds into something longer which will be released.
