NEW VIDEO: Simone Biles Dances to Chris Tomlin’s ‘Good Good Father



In an emotional tribute to her adoptive parents, Simone Biles waltzed to contemporary Christian music singer Chris Tomlin’s “Good Good Father” on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” Monday night.
The 20-year-old gymnast who racked up four gold medals at the 2016 Summer Olympics said she was dancing to Tomlin’s song as a tribute to her grandparents-turned-adoptive parents, Ron and Nellie Biles. Simone broke down in tears as she spoke to her professional dance partner, Sasha Farber, as she explained the importance of honoring her parents with the Christian song.

“Growing up, my biological mom was suffering from drug and alcohol abuse and she was in and out of jail. I never had mom to run to,” an emotional Biles recounted in the introduction video before her dance. “I do remember always being hungry and afraid. At 3 years old I was placed in foster care.”

When Ron and Nellie decided to take their granddaughter out of foster care to adopt her, the famous gymnast said they saved her life.

“My parents saved me. They’ve set huge examples on how to treat other people,” Simone said.

“There’s nothing I can say to them to thank them enough. Even though there’s no right words, maybe dance will say it for me.”

After concluding her Viennese waltz, Biles was brought to tears when she shared an emotional hug with her parents.

Contemporary Christian music singer Tomlin tweeted a message to The New York Times best-selling author of Courage to Soar after hearing that she waltzed to his song Monday night and took to social media to show love to the athlete and .”
